A jury of filmmakers, artists, critics, academics, and cultural professionals reviews every submission — and chooses the films that make the programme.

We watch for work that earns its memory: a clear voice, a reason to look back, and the craft to make us feel it. First films are read generously — this is a festival built for beginnings.

§ 03 — Selection process

From entry to programme.

Every eligible entry is viewed in full by members of the jury — no shortcuts, no algorithms.

Deliberate

The jury meets to discuss the work, weighing craft, voice, and how each film holds its memory.

Select

A slate of finalist films is chosen for the festival programme and the live screening in Barcelona.

Honour

The jury awards one of the festival’s two prizes; the audience decides the other.
